Supervisor Production (Small Batch Production)

Job Description

  • Support the Head of Small Batch Production (SBP) in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the assigned shift, ensuring smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on safe work practices, promoting a culture of safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Supervise the assembly of products and parts according to work instructions, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Enforce production standards by ensuring compliance with quality, quantity, and procedural requirements.
  • Manage the preparation and availability of materials for production, ensuring everything is in place for smooth operation.
  • Perform and oversee visual inspections of parts to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
  • Ensure accurate completion of production documentation, maintaining clear records of all activities.
  • Monitor open orders, requesting necessary batch documentation to ensure continuous production flow.
  • Oversee the packaging of finished products, ensuring they are correctly prepared for shipment.
  • Lead and cooperate with team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or product deviations to management and the quality department for prompt resolution.
  • Lead by example, setting the standard for performance, safety, and professionalism within the team.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the proper process flow and resolve any production issues.
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and hygiene procedures, upholding high standards of workplace safety and cleanliness.
  • Ensure the work area adheres to 5S standards, promoting efficiency and organization.
  • Perform necessary tasks in SAP and Guardus systems to track production and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage team performance and attendance.

Qualifications

  • Industrial/technical training (3 years) complemented by advanced specialized training. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a comparable role involving planning and coordination tasks.
  • Proven ability to excel as an individual contributor, demonstrating competencies in production knowledge, action orientation, problem-solving, quick learning, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with the capability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Proactive and adaptable, attentive to your surroundings, and able to handle changes effectively.
  • Approachable and team-oriented, fostering collaboration within the team.
  • Emotionally resilient and self-confident, with the ability to maintain composure in challenging situations.
  • Business-minded, with a focus on achieving operational goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Self-management skills, including the ability to delegate effectively and manage time efficiently.
